Use and Maintenance of Electric Hospital Beds

With the progress of the times and the continuous improvement of medical facilities, the use of electrical hospital beds is becoming more and more widespread. It can not only automatically adjust the bed position for patients with limited mobility, but also facilitate the treatment and care of nursing staff. So what should be noted when using electrical hospital beds for a long time?

Precautions for electrical hospital beds

  • Before using the electrical hospital bed, check whether the power cord is securely plugged in and whether the controller cable is reliable.

  • The controller cable, linear actuator cables, and power cords must not be placed between the lifting linkage and the upper and lower bed frames to prevent the cables from being cut and causing personal equipment accidents.

  • After raising the backrest, the patient should not lie down on the panel and push it.

  • Do not push on uneven ground to prevent damage to the swivel wheels of the electrical hospital bed.

  • When using the controller, only press one button at a time to complete the action. Do not press two or more buttons at the same time to operate the electrical hospital bed, so as not to produce incorrect actions that endanger the safety of the patient.

  • When moving a fully electrical hospital bed, the power plug must be unplugged, and the power controller cable must be wound up before being pushed.

  • When moving an electrical orthopedic hospital bed, the guardrails should be lifted to prevent the patient from falling and being injured during the movement. Two people must operate the bed at the same time during the moving process to prevent the bed from losing control of direction and causing damage to the structural components, endangering the patient's health.

Maintenance of electrical hospital beds

  • When not in use, lower the electrical hospital bed to the lowest position, wind up the power cord and controller cable, and place it in a safe place with the swivel wheels locked.

  • Regularly check the electrical hospital bed, check whether the controller cable and various linear actuator cable connections are secure and reliable, and whether the connecting bolts are loose.

  • Regularly clean with neutral detergent, wipe with a soft dry cloth after cleaning, and place it in a ventilated place.

  • Avoid cleaning with alkaline or other corrosive liquids.

  • During handling and use, collisions are strictly prohibited to prevent damage to structural components.

  • Do not come into contact with strong acids or alkalis to prevent corrosion. If the area is accidentally corroded or stained with strong acid or alkali and there is no timely cleaning, it can be rinsed or soaked with clean water, wiped with a wet cloth using neutral synthetic detergent, and then wiped dry with a dry cloth.

  • If maintenance or replacement of parts is required, please contact the after-sales service department, and do not disassemble it yourself.

Because electrical hospital beds have many functions that ordinary beds do not have, they are increasingly favored by the medical industry. At the same time, it is precisely because of the existence of these special functions that they have different usage methods from ordinary beds. When using them, attention should be paid to standard and safe operations, and maintenance and repairs should be paid attention to when not in use.
